What this fund supports
The Museum Construction Fund supports the planned museum’s construction and related project planning, including architectural design, permitting, site preparation, and building work, subject to the alternative educational purpose described in the gift terms above.
The Grand Alignment will administer the fund and track gifts and expenditures for these purposes. Contributions may be held until the project is ready for the next stage; an opening date has not been set.
Who receives my donation?
The Grand Alignment, Inc., doing business as Trois Museum, is the recipient. Your gift supports the Museum Construction Fund subject to the gift terms displayed with the donation button, including the stated alternative educational purpose if insufficient funding prevents the museum from proceeding.
What if there is not enough funding to create the museum?
For gifts made through this page under the terms shown above, if sufficient funding cannot be secured and Grand Alignment’s Board determines that the museum cannot proceed, the remaining unspent funds may support the development and operation of Grand Alignment’s free, publicly accessible education platform. The Board will document that determination and the use of those funds.
The alternative purpose applies to gifts made under these terms. It does not change the restrictions on earlier gifts or override a separate written gift agreement accepted by Grand Alignment.
What about earlier gifts or funds left after construction?
Earlier gifts remain subject to the terms under which they were made. Any balance remaining after the museum is completed remains subject to the applicable gift terms; the insufficient-funding alternative above does not automatically authorize a different use of that balance. Any change outside the accepted gift terms requires donor consent or other legal authorization.
Can I discuss a larger or noncash gift?
Yes. Please contact the museum team to discuss a larger gift, a grant, or donated property. This online construction fund is for monetary gifts.
